Alice Ann Knabe, 70, of Pueblo, CO, passed away February 19, 2017, at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born November 25, 1946 in Norristown, PA. Alice married, Wayne Knabe, the love of her life February 16, 1968 and celebrated 49 years of wedded bliss three days before her passing. She was an active reader, hook rug maker, loved taking her husband garage selling and making him watch Wheel of Fortune, in fact, she had a sign that read, “Taking care of a husband, is a wife’s full-time job”. However, more than anything, she loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren; passing on her love for reading and teaching them the importance of books. She is survived by her husband, Wayne; daughter, Alicia (Derek) Molina; son, Ryan (Viola) Knabe; siblings, Pat (Sam) Gromis, Danny Mahr, Gary Mahr; grandchildren, Hannah, Brianna, Shaul, Jasmine, Caleb, James, Aaron, Katlynn, and Jonathan. She was preceded by her parents, Doc and Mona Mahr; brother, Neal; father-in-law, Leo Knabe and sister-in-law, Mary Mahr. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family in care of the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Harwood Chapel, 516 N. 10th, Canon City, CO with burial to follow at Lakeside Cemetery, Canon City, CO.
