I just learned of his passing. My deepest condolences. His calm presence and adventurous spirit, always climbing or juggling something, will be missed. He was truly one of a kind.

Bennett was a great man, and a great friend, and is deeply missed by many, his joy and enthusiasm were infections and contagious and just plain wonderful. I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know him and even did some brief work projects together with him too. He taught me a lot, and I was, and am still, deeply saddened by this loss and still greatly miss him. His smile, and his love and joy in learning were a pure divine delight and we who had him in any way in our lives were lucky and blessed.

Bennett will be greatly missed. His intentionality to enjoy life and bring joy to others was contagious. My hope is that all of us who had the privilege of knowing him would be able to take some risks, step outside of ourselves and make more of an effort to connect with others the way that Bennett modeled so gracefully. Though I didn't get to spend a lot of time with him I was always glad to see him. He could get me to think about things differently in a way that made me smile :) Love you Roesch family! Our prayers and thoughts are with you as you celebrate and morn this beautiful soul.

What a beautiful person, your Bennett. I continue to be awed by details of his life, one lived with such passion, generosity, curiosity and depth. He has touched so many lives, both directly and indirectly. You raised an incredible young man, Cec and Ben, truly one of a kind, a rare soul. Your loss is felt by so many. His big, genuine smile and kind heart will be forever etched in my memory. All my love, Ami

Bennett was always full of life and loved to make other people feel the same way. He will always be remembered for the great job he did as emcee or narrator of Heather and Scott's wedding in Estes Park a couple of years ago. We will miss his great spirit.

Ben and Cely,
My heart aches for what you must be going through. Reading some of the messages on Facebook must make you very proud of the son you raised. He had two parents that really cared. I love you both and I'm sorry I can't be there for the service. Love, Norma

Bennet was always the biggest smile, the happiest person at Porter College, UCSC. I sometimes called him goofy, because he did what he wanted and what made him happy, and did not care about how others saw it. Wonderful! He had the courage I did not have at his age. In other words, he LIVED to be happy and did not let others' thoughts stop him. I hope this continued after he graduated from UCSC. Bennet always brightened my day and reminded me to LIVE life, not just exist. May his legacy continue forever!
