Daniel “Danny” Herrera, 68, of Florence passed away May 9, 2017. He was born May 23, 1948 to Fred and Mary (Leyba) Herrera in Florence, CO. Danny loved many things, but his favorites were going to Cripple Creek and yard sales. He would spend his Thursday evenings mapping out all the yard sales for Friday and Saturday and he would have a blast. He also loved his family and always found time to dote on his grandchildren. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Debbie; children, Danielle (Jon) Heltzel, Ricky (Brandy) Peek, Jennifer Peek; sisters, Julia Lucero, Lena (Marvin) Valdez; grandchildren, Devon, Shaylah, Eyan, Abbie, Gavyn, Brookie, Chayse, Devarey; great-grandchild, Xavion. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Bob, Johnny, Able, Eddie, Bertha, Louisa and Benji. A Visitation will be held from 3-5 P.M., Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Harwood Funeral Home Florence, 225 E. Main St., Florence, CO. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, May 15, 2017 at Harwood Chapel, 516 N. 10th, Canon City, CO., with burial to follow at Union Highland Cemetery, Florence, CO.
