Deuard Seburn Mathews, 69, passed away at home on September 26, 2016. He was born December 31, 1946 to Paul Surfrige and Mildred Martin in Hazard, KY. After high school he served his country in the United State Army. Deuard met and married Linda Aubel, the love of his life and together they shared a deep and wonderful life together. A truck driver by trade, he enjoyed the beautiful outdoors of Colorado and loved to hunt and fish with his son, though he rarely was able to as often as he would have liked. He is survived by his wife, Linda; son, James (Cheryl) Mathews; granddaughters, Nyssa and Julie; one great-granddaughter; daughter, Deborah and brother David. He was preceded by his father, Paul; mother, Mildred and son David. A Visitation and Sharing time will be held from 2-4 P.M., Sunday, October 2, 2016 at The Harwood Funeral Home, 225 E.
