Donald Dwayne Ready

Donald Dwayne Ready, 75, of Canon City, passed away June 23, 2017.  He was born November 16, 1941 to Earl and Dorothy (McCall) Ready in Delta, CO. He was a graduate of Canon City High School where he excelled at football.  Don grew up working in the family business at Ready’s Ice, a trade he continued in throughout his lifetime, working and operating other ice plants around the country.  After retiring, Don spent his time travelling, hunting and taking care of his dogs.  He is survived by his children, brothers, Ronald (Kelli) Ready and Leroy (Betty) Ready; dear friend, Linda Stuart; numerous cousins and “Little Bit”, his dog. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Douglas Ready and son, Matthew Ready.. Donations may be made to the Humane Society of Fremont County, 110 Rhodes Avenue, Canon City, CO 81212.  Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, June 30, 2017 at Harwood Chapel, 516 N. 10th Street, Canon City. CO.
