Frank Martinez, 62, passed away August 16, 2016 with his loving family by his side. He was born October 27, 1953 to Larkin and Stella (Gomez) Martinez in Canon City, CO. Frank was married to Tina Medina and they had a beautiful daughter Anna. Frank loved working outside and heaven help you if you volunteered to work alongside him; as he would work your fingers to the bone. Generations of kids will remember him as the Head Custodian at both Fremont Elementary and Penrose Schools in the Fremont Re-2 School District where he enjoyed working with the staff and encouraging and helping the kids. He is survived by his daughter, Anna (Paul) Middleton; former wife, Tina Medina; granddaughters, Frankee and Charlee Middleton; siblings, Bill Martinez, Angela Salkield, Larkin Martinez, Jr., Josie (Ken) Del Duca, Cathy (George) Moore, Larry Martinez, Michael (Tonya) Martinez, Linda Martinez, Rita Martinez, Gilbert Martinez, he was preceded by his parents and brother Danny Martinez. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Church of Christ, 220 W. 2nd Street, Florence, CO. Arrangements entrusted to Harwood Funeral Home.
