Harry Douglas Pettit, Sr., 68, passed away August 12, 2017 at his home in Florence, CO. He was born September 29, 1948 to Harry and Renee (Shepard) Pettit in Bridgeton, NJ. Harry married Nancy Spear, the love of his life and had three children. A man of faith, he graduated Baptist Bible College East and served the Lord as a pastor at Faith Baptist Church in Reedville, MA and more recently as minister of music at Penrose Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, children, Pastor Doug (Kate) Pettit, Jr., Sean Pettit, Rik Pettit; sister Brenda McCarson; grandchildren, Joshua, Titus, Tillara, Benjiman, Gideon, Luke, Owen, Whit, Abigail, Brenden, Daniel, A.J., Dace, Mackenzie and Dylan. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Bailey. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Penrose Baptist Church, 502 Fremont Avenue, Penrose, CO.
