Larry Scott Newcomb

Celebration of life services for Larry "Scott" Newcomb will be held Tuesday May 24th at 3pm at Harwood Chapel, 516 N. 10th, in Canon City.  Scott left this world on May 18, 2016.

Scott was born October 31, 1969 to Larry and Janice (Mitchum) Newcomb.  Scott has 3 children in Florida from his first marriage, David, Preston (17) and Taelor (19) Newcomb. Scott married Erica Ayers in 2008 and they have two daughters, Eve (9) and Eden (6) Newcomb of Wetmore Colorado.

Scott graduated high school in Philadelphia and went on to earn a degree from the university of Arkansas as well as attended Harvard.  He worked as an architect in Florida and Colorado for the Stellar Group, Betchel and most recently Amec Foster Wheeler.  He had spent 6 months last year working in Afghanistan.

Scott loved living in the Colorado mountains and hiking with his girls. There was nothing Scott wouldn't design, remodel or build and was constantly working on projects around their home or helping out his friends.  He enjoyed being a member of toastmasters and was on the volunteer fire dept in Wetmore.  Scott was always smiling, patient and full of love for anyone he met.  
Scott is proceeded in death by his son August Rylan Newcomb (5-18-08), maternal Grandparents, Josephine and Vernon Oakley, Neal Mitchum, paternal grandparents Clell and Willa Newcomb.  
Scott is survived by his wife and children, his parents and brother Charles Newcomb, two nieces Mariah & Bailey Newcomb, Cousin Joe Kelly, and many other relatives and many many dear friends.
