Leona “Kay” Roberts went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, August 31, 2017. She was born to Ralph Leonard and Betty Louise Dufur in Cortez, Colorado on July 23, 1961. She attended Cotopaxi Schools and Farmington High School obtaining a high school equivalency diploma. Most of her adult years, she worked as a waitress and for H&R Block as a tax consultant.
She married Ronald Roberts on October 16, 1994. They made their home in Penrose, Colorado. She was a member of the Healing Waters Church in Canon City, Colorado and loved the Lord with all her heart.
She is survived by her husband, Ron Roberts, brother, Jack Dufur (Esperanza), Sisters Lylia Towel and Faye Roberts, children Lori Pike (Roy) and Matt Harrison (Brandi), grandchildren, Annabelle, Arianna, Patrick, Brianna and Roy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Betty Dufur. Kay was a very positive individual and loved everyone. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 10:00 am, at the Healing Waters Church, 614 S. 4th St., Canon City, Colorado. Dr. James A. Roberts will be officiating the service.
