Linda Millie Simonds

Linda Millie Simonds, 63, passed away Thursday morning, June 8th, 2017 at Denver Hospice surrounded by her loving family.

Linda Millie was born in Lancaster, New Hampshire, March 4th, 1954.  The daughter of Arthur and Linda Gail (Nourse) Simonds.  Linda grew up in Maidstone, Vermont.  She graduated from Groveton High School in 1972.  She then went on to Berlin Tech in Berlin, New Hampshire and received a nursing degree.  Linda also later in life went to Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado and got her RN in nursing.

Linda and her wife, Geri, moved to St. Petersburg, Florida in 1975.  She worked as a nurse at St. Petersburg Hospital.  In 1977 Linda and Geri moved to Howard, Colorado where they made their life for 40 years.  In Colorado Linda was a nurse at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center for many years and then worked at Walmart both in Salida.  Linda very much loved her beloved home in Colorado.

Linda is survived by brothers;  Edward C. Simond (John) of Barre, Vermont, Arthur (Brenda) Simonds of West Point, Virginia, a sister, Lisa F. (Tom) Grimes of Groveton, New Hampshire, and a very special friend, Ann McCormick (Kim) of Florida.

Linda was preceded in death by her wife Geri in October 2016, her mother, Linda Simonds, in May 2013, and her father, Arthur Simonds in 2017.

At Linda’s request there will be no services.  Donations can be made in Linda’s name to Denver Hospice,  8299 E. Lowrey Blvd., Denver, CO  80230.   Arrangements entrusted to Harwood Funeral Home.  Online condolences at harwoodfunerals.com
