Marilyn Pendergrass

 Marilyn Rose Pendergrass passed away August 27, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family.  Born June 30, 1930 in Terre Haute, IN, to Raymon and Beulah (Head) Green. After graduating high school, she went on to study nursing, receiving her RN and beginning her career serving the sick with love and compassion.  Marilyn was a nurse for many years at St. Anthony Central in Denver and Camp Kueu in Okinawa, Japan.  She met the man she loved her entire life, William L. Pendergrass and enjoyed their time as a military family traveling around the world.  They were married 52 years at the time of his death in 2007.  She was predeceased by her parents, her siblings, and her son, David Pendergrass and a granddaughter, Natasha Pendergrass.   Marilyn was a spirited, strong woman who loved to read, bowl and spend a little of her hard earned money at a casino from time to time.  She and William liked traveling and spent a lot of the time after their retirements doing that and covered most of the continental U.S. as well as Canada and Mexico a bit. She is survived by her children, Diana Thibodeau, Denise and her husband Orlando Garcia, Darice and her husband Edwin Bjorkvist and Danita and her husband Gary Cronkhite.  Grandchildren, Sue, Denise, Sabrena, Anouska, Sara, Samantha, Morgan, Jason, Antonio, Brandon, Lisa, Jennifer, Jamin and William; 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.  She is also survived by her aunt, Alice Head and sister-in-law, Verna Green.  At her request, cremation has taken place and services will be held at a future date.  Arrangements entrusted to Harwood Funeral Home.  Online condolences at Harwoodfunerals.com.
