Norma Louise Cooper, 88, of Penrose, passed away December 4, 2017. She was born to Chester and Ruth (Hendy) Ruckman who welcomed her into the world on New Year’s Day 1929. Norma married Paul Cooper, the love of her life in 1950 and was so happy to have celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary with him this past April. Norma and Paul moved to Colorado in 1972 and operated JC Cooper, Inc., an RV parts and service business they ran together in Canon City, CO. When she wasn’t busy raising their three children and helping her husband in their business, Norma loved to paint. Loved wife, mother and grandmother, Norma will be greatly missed by her husband, Paul; daughter, Marilyn Bartley, and sons Lari Cooper and John Cooper; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Norma’s family would like to recognize and thank the nurses, CNA’s and staff of Progressive Care Center for always treating Norma like she was their own mother.
