Patricia Diane Engel, 76, passed away September 18, 2017. She was born November 13, 1940 to John and Mary (Summers) Graef in Ann Arbor, MI. A bookkeeper by trade, Diane had many interests that included antiquing, floral arranging, gardening, being an animal lover and being a mom. She was a faithful child of God and served in the local church and women’s prison ministry for many years alongside her husband. She is survived by her husband, John; her son Michael Carbiener, his wife Bridget and their two daughters Emily and Elizabeth, her step-son Darrin Engel, his wife Karla and their daughter Lorelei, and step-son Justin Engel-Sprague and his wife Edna; her younger sister Kathy Whiffen, her husband Larry and their children Brian Whiffen, his wife Kendal and their children Shelby, Mason and Cruz, and Lisa Garner and her husband Joe. At her request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held October 7th at 1pm at Cody Park Community Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the family or Cody Park Community Church to help offset funeral expenses. Arrangements entrusted to Harwood Funeral Home.
