Robert Benson, 68, of Canon City, passed away July 12, 2016. He was born August 21, 1947 to Earle and Helen (Nelson) Benson in Glen Ridge, New Jersey. He was an auto mechanic by trade for many years, but also loved antiques. Robert, along with his wife Rose Ann, spent their retirement years dealing in antiques and had a blast doing so. Robert also was passionate about his gardening and spent many hours working and growing his garden each summer. He is survived by his sons, Robert Benson, Jr., Richard (Katrina) Benson; grandchildren, Penelope Benson, Andrew Powers, Anthony Benson and brothers, Joe Benson and Earle (Cottie) Benson. He was preceded by his parents and wife. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Harwood Chapel, 516 N. 10th, Canon City, CO.
