Stephen Gene Kubovec

Stephen "Steve" Gene Kubovec 51, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2016 in Canon City, CO.
Steve was born on May 19, 1964 in Colorado Springs, CO to David Haddock and Lynda Williamson Dansby. 
As a young man Steve enlisted in the Army and was later released. He spent a majority of his adulthood making a career doing tile work and helping others with any projects they needed help with. His home life consisted of making great memories with his family. Family was very important to Steve and something he loved and cherished. Movie night was common in his home. He had a love for music and movies. If you knew Steve you could only understand by his extensive movie collection and the variety of music he had collected.  He spent his summers taking his family camping in the mountains. He enjoyed hiking, riding bikes, and fishing. We will remember Steve for the many memories made and shared with us and for his great sense of humor.
He is preceded in death by his father David Haddock and his son Rodley Cornell.
He leaves behind his long time partner in life Rose Ziemer, his children Ken (Codi) Osborne, Karl, Kacy, and Kyle Kubovec, Kayla Spell, Ashley and Alyssa Ziemer, and Stevie Kubovec, his mother Lynda, step mom Vi, his bother and sisters, grandchildren, and many extended family members.
  Services will be held Friday May 20, 2016 at 11am at Harwood Chapel 516 N. 10th Canon City, CO.
