Thelma Ready Lovisone

Thelma Ready Lovisone, 94, passed away peacefully, April 21, 2016, with her loving family by her side. She was born October 30, 1921 to Charles “Happy” and Glenna (Beard) Owens in Lamar, Colorado.  Thelma was raised on the family farm in Springfield, CO., where she went to a one room school.  Her family later moved to Holly, CO., so she could attend public school.  She soon met and married Allen Ready with whom she had two beautiful daughters.  After Allen’s passing, Thelma married Herb Lovisone who also predeceased her.   She worked for several years at The Florence Hotel and Frying Pan where she was everyone’s favorite waitress before working for Estes Industries from which she retired.  Thelma loved working out in her yard and garden, which she was still doing until she was 93 years old.  She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Weise; grandchildren, Cindy Weise (John Ary), Tami (Eugene) Jackson, Thom Graham (Rick); Great-grandchildren, Chad Weise, Martha Weise, Tiffany Jackson (Zach Hoyt), Trevor (Cheri) Jackson; great-great grandchildren, MacKinze Kendall, Wyatt Weise, Khloe Weise, Lucas Kolb, Aubree Kolb.  She is preceded by, daughter, Charlotte Delaney, son-in-law, Gene Weise; great granddaughter, Heather Jackson; siblings, Mutt Owens, Wilda and Melba.  Visitation will be Sunday, April 24, 2016 from 5-7P.M., with Funeral Services at 1:00 P.M., Monday, April 25th, 2016 both at Harwood Chapel, 516 N. 10th, Canon City, CO.  Interment to follow at Lakeside Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Harwood Funeral Home.  Online condolences at Harwoodfunerals.com.
