Vera Garcia, 86, passed away peacefully at home, April 12, 2017, with her loving family by her side. Vera was born on October 20, 1930 in Las Vegas, New Mexico to Raymond and Veronica Crespin. Vera married the love of her life, Frank Garcia, from Los Alamos, NM, on October 21, 1949. She is survived by her husband, Frank Garcia, and their five children, Cathy (Dale) Straley, Ray (Linda) Garcia, Anna Trujillo, John (Tammy) Garcia, Frank (Kim) Garcia; five sisters, one brother, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Vera was a cook at Penrose School for several years. Vera was devoted to Jesus Christ and attended St. Benedicts Catholic Church and was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. You, Vera, will be truly missed, we love you and may God Bless you and forever hold you in His Heart, Amen. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, April 20, 2017 at St. Benedicts Catholic Church, 622 W. 2nd Street, in Florence, CO. Reception will follow at the Parish Hall.
