Andrew Curtis Cornell was born on May 14, 1981 in Pueblo, Colorado and passed away on June 10, 2018 in West Texas. Curtis had made his home in Kiowa, Kansas with his long time girlfriend, Amanda Farrell and five children Kyler, Jaden, Noah, Devin and Kaleb, all surviving. Curtis was also close with Tony Farrell, also of Kiowa, Kansas and surviving. Curtis was devoted to his family and was working on his career as an over the road truck driver when he lost his life. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed watching football and spending time with his family more than anything. In addition to Amanda and his children in Kansas, Curtis is survived by his daughters Angelic and Carolyn Cornell of Borger, Texas; dad, Lloyd Wood of Cheyenne Wells, Colorado; sisters Misty (Dee) Zade of Penrose, Colorado and Dawn Cornell of Chillicothe, Missouri. Brother, Lloyd Cornell of Brighton, Colorado; grandmother, Ruth Hyatt of Socorro, New Mexico; Uncles Andy Cornell and Rex Cornell; nieces and nephews Tyler, Timothy, Trista, Bubby and Analiyah, many beloved cousins and his best friend Elysia Stone of Chillicothe, Missouri. Curtis was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Cornell; brother, Sammy Wood; grandfather, Hudson Hyatt; uncles, aunts, grandparents, friends and many loved ones. There will be a viewing on June 18, 2018 from 4 pm to 6 pm at the Harwood Chapel on 10th and College in Canon City. Funeral services will be on June 19, 2018 at 10 am in Silver Cliff Cemetery. Dallas Cowboys attire is encouraged.
