Boyce Dean Polston, 67, of Florence, passed away August 21, 2018 at Joni Fair Hospice House. He was born May 25, 1951 to James and Nova (Huskey) Polston in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. Boyce faithfully served his country in United State Army being stationed in Anchorage, Alaska. He moved to Florence from Arizona City, AZ after his retirement as an iron worker. Boyce was known for his skillful making of Walking Sticks which he sold on consignment in Florence. He loved being in the outdoors of Colorado and did so every opportunity possible. He leaves to cherish his memory his former wife, Gwen Hudson; children, Joe Polston and Jamie Swartz (Chris); grandchildren, Colten, Corey, Nick, Mandy, Gabriel; siblings, Lanny Polston, Maryann (Claude) Smith, Wayne (Cindy) Polston, Faye Fitz, Kathy Fernandez, Chuck Polston, Bobby Polston and his best four-legged buddy, “Buffy”. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, LaDonna Polston. At his request, cremation and no services to be held. Arrangements entrusted to Harwood Funeral Home.
