Catherine Ott

Cathy (Gardner) Ott passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 at Sky Ridge Medical Center in Lone Tree, CO, with her husband at her side.

Cathy was the daughter of the late Lester Claire and Stella (Atkins) Gardner; she was born April 11, 1948 in Cedar Rapids, IA. She graduated from Tipton High school in 1966 and Iowa State University 1970. She married Philip Ott on August  28, 1971,  in Ames, IA .

Cathy and Philip have lived in Colorado for 23 years.  Cathy was working as a legal assistant in a law office.  She retired a year ago December.  Cathy was very active in the First United Methodist Church in Canon City.  She also enjoyed the Friday night music jam session at the senior center in Florence.

She is survived by Philip, her husband of 46 years, her sister, Diane (Larry) LeBlanc, and many cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Janet Sue Gardner.

Per Cathy’s request she has been cremated and a celebration of life will be held in Tipton at a later date. Memorials may be made to the charity of donor’s choice.
