Ernest Margarito Ulibarri

Ernest Margarito Ulibarri, 72 of Canon City, passed away November 3, 2018 at his home with his loving family by his side.  He was born October 6, 1946 to Nabor and Margarita (Gonzales) Ulibarri in Las Vegas, NM. Ernest worked in the refinery industry, spending most of his career with Texaco and Conoco Corporations.  He married Heather Hobbick in 1994 and they share seven children and five grandchildren.  When he wasn’t working, Ernest loved to play his guitar ,buy and refurbish old cars and travel to attend vintage car shows.  He is survived by his wife Heather Ulibarri;  mother Margarita Ulibarri;  children and stephchildren, Daphne Sanders, Carrie (Dallas) Gimpel, Monty (Kara) Ulibarri, Anna (Eric) Tolliver, Bret Meier, Tamra Meier, Tara Meier; brother Nabor (Helen) Ulibari; grandchildren Nathan Gimpel, Nolan Gimpel, Tommy Tolliver, Lindsie Gimpel and Marlee Ulibarri.  He was preceded in death by his father Nabor Ulibarri. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, November 9, 2018 with visitation one hour prior to service at Harwood Chapel, 516 N. 10th Street, Canon City, CO.  Burial will follow at Mountain Vale Cemetery, Canon City.  A luncheon will be served back at Harwood Chapel following burial.
