Georgia Herrera

Georgia Herrera, 73, passed away at her home in Florence surrounded by her loving family on August 6, 2018.  She was born June 8, 1945 to Manuel and Bertha (Brito) Valdez in Gardner, CO.  Georgia married Larry Herrera, the love of her life and had three children.

Georgia, loved to play bingo, spend time in Cripple Creek and fish. Georgia was an avid dart player and never missed a game of her Colorado Rockies.  She is survived by her daughters, Sabrina Herrera-Keys, Melissa (Gary) Herrera-Newman, Hilary Herrera; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Louis, John, Max, Martha and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Larry Herrera and Daniel Boone. Services, Saturday, August 11, 2018 at St. Benedicts Catholic Church 622 W. 2nd Street, Florence., CO.  Rosary at 9:15A.M., Funeral Mass at 10:00A.M.  A celebration of life and luncheon will be held at the Florence Elks Club.
