Jodi Marie Hyatt

Jodi Marie Hyatt, 43, passed away August 28, 2017 after losing her battle with breast cancer, surrounded by her loving family.  A loving wife, mother, sister and aunt, Jodi was a teacher by occupation.  Jodi was born in Hartford, South Dakota, where a lot of her family still lives in the surrounding area, and spent her early years there. After moving to Colorado Jodi excelled in school and went on to get her bachelor’s degree in Audiology. She then went back to school after a long break and received her Master’s in Education. She loved helping kiddos learn and expand their minds and become productive citizens.  When Jodi wasn’t busy in the classroom you would find her quilting and donating the items to many great causes.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and watching her own children blossom into amazing young people.  She is survived by her husband, Justin; children, Nicholas Hyatt, Sophia Hyatt; and brother David Gonzales.  She was preceded in death by her mother Barbara Fischer, and grandmother Selma Fischer.  At her request, cremation has taken place and a service will be held by her family at a future date.  Arrangements entrusted to Harwood Funeral Home.  Online condolences at Harwoodfuneralhome.com.
