A Very Special person has moved on from this earth. She touched many lives, very loving mother-woman and loved by many, known to many as Mom. She will never leave our hearts. Her memory will live on. A Hopi prayer sums up her wishes as to how to remember her:
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints of snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle Autumn’s rain
When you waken in the morning rush of
Quiet birds in circled flight,
I am the soft stars in the nights
Do not stand by my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Hopi Prayer
Lila helped and was there for many. She is survived by her husband John Pike, her duaghters Rebecca Pike and Amanda Pike; brother, Richard Allen and granddaughter Katie Pike and by all of those she touched. She will be missed very much and never forgotten.
