Lila Westphal, 86 of Florence, CO., went to her rest on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Bruce McCandless Veterns Living Center in Florence. She was born in 1931 to John and Mildred VanAuken in Scranton, PA. Lila was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Jack (Gaitha) VanAuken, James (Mildred) VanAuken; son, Kenneth Westphal, Jr.; Nephew, Truman VanAuken and son-in-law Greg Breitenfeld. She is survived by son, David (Joyce) Foster; daughter, Sharon Breitenfeld; grandchildren, Sarah Olson, Drue Foster, Dustin (Nicole) Foster, Jordan (Rachel) Foster, John Westphal, Melissa (Daniel) Smith, Samuel Fishman, Krista (Kenny) Stroud, Nathan (Hannah) Westphal and Joshua Moffat as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and dear friends. A celebration of life service will be at 2:00 P.M., October 8, 2017 at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church located at 3180 E. Main Street, Canon City, CO. Arrangements entrusted to Harwood Funeral Home.
