Lonnie Jay Runner

Lonnie J. Runner, 67, passed away September 8, 2018 in Silver Cliff, CO.  He was born February 25, 1951 in Florence, CO, to Lon and Delores (Pontius) Runner.  A life-long resident of the Fremont County and Westcliffe areas, Lonnie graduated from Florence High School in 1969.  After high school, Lonnie went to work for Man-An-So where he was the plant manager before joining Ajack Industries in the 80’s and 90’s.  He finished his working career with Transit Mix in Colorado Springs. When he wasn’t working, Lonnie enjoyed his time as a pilot, racing cars, fishing, hunting, camping, and is a certified SCUBA diver.  He is survived by his father Lon Runner and stepmother Elinor Runner; son, Kevin (Gwyn) Runner; sister, Deb (Richard) Livsey; brother, Jack (Charlotte) Runner; grandchildren, , Konner Runner, Kylie Runner, Timothy Gall, and Alex Gall.  He was predeceased by his mother Delores; wife Melanie Runner, son, Brendan Gall, and grandson Kristopher Runner.  Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Harwood Chapel, 516 N. 10th Street, Canon City, CO 81212.
