William Simpson

William John Simpson, 76, died October 11, 2018 at his home in Canon City, Colorado.  William was born June 12, 1942 in Des Moines, Iowa to Harold Melvin Simpson and Helen Missel Smith. 

Bill was a retired truck driver.   His most recent employment was driving the trolley in Canon City and a van with Golden Age Center-Fremont County Transit.  He would transport people to their appointments to Colorado Springs and Pueblo.  He was very proud to be able to drive.   He was employed up until a month before his death.

He married Alda Messler in 1982. She passed away in 1997. He married Alaine Smith in 2003. She passed away in 2008. 

Bill is survived by 5 sons and their spouses.  Bill Simpson Jr & Diane, Mike Simpson & Cindy, Jeff Simpson & Lora, Jay Simpson & Reagan, Neeld Messler & Linda. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren;  Lindsay, Chad & Brianne, Chase, Kyle, Olivia, Hudson and 1 great grandchild, Kensington.

Bill enjoyed camping.   A celebration of life will be held next summer.  We are planning a camping trip up by Lake George.  If you would like to camp or just spend the day, please email mikecindyplace@yahoo.com with your contact information.
