On October 6, 2021, Anna Trujillo passed away in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was 65 years old. She most recently resided in Cañon City.
Anna was born in Pueblo, Colorado on December 27, 1955, to Frank and Vera Garcia. She was the middle child of five. Anna had a huge love for animals, the outdoors, and fishing. Some of her most cherished places were Lake Deweese, Hardscrabble Creek, and O’Haver Reservoir, but arguably she was most fond of Cebolla Creek near Powderhorn. The creeks beautiful allure and bountiful resources always kept her coming back. Following a fishing trip, you could always count on a delicious meal to follow. But on any average day you could typically find a pot of green chile on the stove top with some home made tortillas, or some enchiladas in the oven.
Her door and table were always open to anyone struggling, as she would gladly go without if someone else was in need.
Her greatest love was for her children and grandchildren. She would go out of her way to see them smiling and happy.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Frank, and Vera Garcia, whom she missed dearly. She is survived by three brothers and one sister. Her husband Joseph Trujillo of Florence, Colorado, sons Thomas (Samantha) Trujillo of Rockvale, Joe (Vanessa) Trujillo of Florence, Michael Trujillo of Cañon City, and Brian Dale of Delta, Colorado. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Neciah Trujillo, Kenzie and Aria Trujillo, Maci and Averi Trujillo, and Shayna and Sean Dale.
