Annie L. Finney

Annie Finney passed away February 27, 2023, aged 97 at Skyline Ridge Nursing Home.  She was born September 24, 1925, to Ed and Mildred (Enoch) Sinclair in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  Annie loved sports and in high school, she and the girls’ basketball team went to state championships and she even played on the boy’s baseball team as there wasn’t one for girls.  After graduation, she attended college and worked for many years at Estes Rockets in Penrose, Colorado.

She married Thomas Finney, the love of her life and together raised two children.

Annie loved to garden and crocheted many beautiful items for family and friends.

She is survived by her children Butch Finney and Carol (Artie) Babcock, grandchildren, Jody, Calvin, Charlotte, Deborah, Shellie and Krystal as well as many great and great greatgrandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Harwood Funeral Chapel,516 N. 10th Street, Canon City, CO with interment to follow at Chico Basin Cemetery in Hanover, Colorado.
