Barbara Jean Morelli

It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of Barbara Morelli announce her peaceful passing on December 15, 2023.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 35 years, Frank Morelli; children:

Ashley Martinez (Dominic), Frank Morelli, IV (Amanda), and Austin Chace (Owen); grandchildren: Collin, Carson, Joshua, Karma, Terin, Markus, Aurellia Mae, Kaity, and Alex; brother: Rick Archuletta (Joyce) and sister: Cathy Slack (Willie); nieces and nephews: Suzanna, Melissa, Jason, Cresta (Casey), Rickey (Tara), Michael, Joseph; great-nieces and nephews: Ava, Hannah, James, Justin, and Cole; sister-in-law: Eileen Kowalczyk (Mark); cousin: Alvina Candia; best friend: Teresa Hutchinson; as well as numerous relatives and friends

She was predeceased by her loving son: Jamie Haines; brother: Gilbert Archuletta; and her parents: Jim and Chello Archuletta.

Barbara was born in Cañon City, Colorado and resided in Florence, Colorado during her lifetime. She was a pillar of her family who enjoyed supporting all of her children and grandchildren in their academic and athletic pursuits. It brought her such joy to see them grow and excel in their passions. She set an excellent example with her own achievements from early in her educational journey as an LPN to her business acumen working with her family in the restaurant and other sectors. Her cooking was matched by none. She carried forward family recipes to perfection and had a special knack that made an everyday dinner an extraordinary meal. She enjoyed traveling the world with her family. Whether at a ballgame, hopping on a plane to a new destination, or happily preparing a meal in her beloved kitchen, Barbara exuded beauty and elegance from the inside out. With strength and grace throughout her lifetime, she was always available for her siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and dear cousins and friends.

A Vigil Service will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 6:00 PM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St.

Benedict's Catholic Church, 622 W 2nd St, Florence, CO 81226.
