Betty Haynes Obituary

Betty Lee Haynes passed away on March 3rd, 2021 at Hildebrand Care Center in Canon City, CO. due to natural causes. She did not have COVID-19. She was born October 14th, 1930 in Wetmore, CO. the daughter of James Randy (Ran) Moore and Ruby M. (Britton) Moore.

She attended grade school at Rockvale and Williamsburg CO. She attended and graduated from Florence High School in 1948.

She lived all of her life in Fremont County. She did secretarial work before getting married. In September of 1954 in Raton, New Mexico, she married Kenneth E. Haynes. To this union they were blessed with two children. Randy Lee Haynes of Canon City, CO and Rhonda Lynn (Haynes) Litton (Donald) of Lakin, KS. Three grandchildren Leeann Marie (Haynes) Ridley (Darren) of Las Animas, CO., Gary Lee Haynes of Orchard, CO. and Logan Dale Litton of Lakin, KS. Great grandchildren Denton Willbanks and Roree Willbanks of Las Animas, CO. and Paige Ridley of Shattuck, OK.

She loved watching her children and grandchildren in their activities. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, bowling and cooking. Betty loved the Eagles auxiliary and 4-H leader for many years. She held several offices and loved traveling with the Eagles.

She is survived by her husband and children and grandkids. She is also survived by one sister, Wilma Jean Brogman, of Denver, CO., two sister-in-laws, Mary Moore of Denver, CO. and Corrine Haynes of Wetmore, CO. as well as many nieces and nephews.

Proceeded in death by three brothers; infant boy Moore, Raual (Lucky) Moore, Glen Moore, her parents; and one sister Anita Moore.

Service will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, we would appreciate memorials given to Canon City Fire District 1475 N. 15th Street, Canon City, CO 81212 Fremont CO. 4-H Foundation, 615 Macon Ave., LL10, Canon City, CO 81212 or the Heart Association, Diabetic Association or Donors Choice.
