A after graduating high school, Bonnie furthered her education with a year of business college, which served her well in her professional life. She spent 20 years managing cash receipts at Farmers Insurance, where her attention to detail and warm personality made her a beloved colleague. Her contributions to the workplace were marked by the same love and dedication she gave to her family.
Bonnie's interests were as colorful and varied as the quilts she crafted with such care. An artisan at heart, she filled her home and the lives of those around her with handmade treasures. From quilting to crocheting, candle making to sewing, and everything in between, Bonnie's creative spirit was boundless. Her culinary skills were no less impressive, as she delighted family and friends with her cooking, baking, and especially her candy making. Bonnie's hands were rarely still, and the beauty she created with them brought joy to all who were lucky enough to receive her gifts. Bonnie and Warren retired early and spent many years as “snowbirds” seeing family and traveling all over the United States living in a 5th wheel camper. Family vacations are fondly remembered by her children. Humor abounds in the memories that were created by these adventures. As a blended family, Bonnie excelled at making sure each and everyone of her family knew she loved and supported them unconditionally. Described as loving, thoughtful, and gentle, Bonnie's character was the foundation upon which her vibrant life was built. She approached every challenge with grace and every celebration with enthusiasm. Her gentle guidance and unconditional love shaped the lives of her children and grandchildren, leaving a legacy of kindness and compassion. Bonnie was a survivor, she was widowed at 22 years of age, and a mother of two young children. She also beat breast cancer later in life.
As we remember Bonnie, we reflect on the words of Helen Keller: "What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." Bonnie's love and the memories she created will forever remain a cherished part of the lives she touched. Bonnie's life was a testament to the beauty that can be created with love and care. As we say farewell, we celebrate the rich, full life she led and the many ways she made the world a more beautiful place. Bonnie Gail will be deeply missed, but her light will continue to shine in the hearts of those who loved her.
