Brandon Clifton Obituary

Brandon James Clifton, a beloved husband, father, son, and brother, born December 2, 1982, passed away on April 2, 2025, from health complications in his hometown of Canon City, Colorado.

He left behind a very large family that includes his wife Cheryl, son Mikal, stepchildren Troy, Susie and Tabitha.  His father, Mark Clifton, his stepmother, Linda Clifton, and his mother, Tami Hays. His many siblings by blood and marriage include Amanda, Melissa, Char, Kasey, Krysta, Jason, Nicki, Devin, Mikayla, Allie, and Holly.  Many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncle, and grandmother.

Brandon was a proud father, and the achievements of his children were his greatest pride.

Brandon attended Pueblo Community College, where he earned an Associate of Business. Brandon dedicated time to Loaves and Fishes, where he contributed to the well-being of his community, demonstrating his commitment to service and helping those in need.

An outdoorsman at heart, Brandon found solace and happiness in the embrace of nature. He had an enduring fascination with the Old West and cowboys, often spending his free time playing in the river or exploring the vast landscapes that reminded him of a bygone era. His love for the outdoors was only rivaled by his love for his family, with whom he shared his interests and adventures, creating lasting memories that they will cherish forever.

Brandon's legacy is one of warmth and generosity. Those who knew him will remember his loving nature, always putting others before himself. His thoughtfulness was evident in the way he listened and offered support, and his kindness touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting mark on the hearts of friends, family, and even strangers.

Brandon's life may have been cut short, but the impact of his 42 years will be felt for generations. He leaves behind a family that adores him, a giving community, and a better world for having him in it. His spirit will continue to guide and inspire those fortunate enough to have known him, and his memory will be a beacon of love and kindness.

As we bid farewell to Brandon Clifton, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man well-loved. He will be deeply missed by his loving family.  Brandon's presence will forever be felt in the gentle flow of the river he loved, in the stories of cowboys he admired, and most of all, in the hearts of those who loved him.

His viewing will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Harwood Funeral Home in Canon City, CO. A Remembrance of Life will be held in June 2025 in Canon City, CO.
