Brenda Lee Scott

Brenda Lee Scott passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024 at St. Thomas More Hospital after a long battle with cancer.  Brenda was born October 31, 1965, to Carmen and Ina Bracco at the old hospital on 5th Street in Canon City, Colorado.  She graduated from Canon City High School in 1984.  Benda went to community college in Canon City studying to become a nurse.  Brenda married Foster Gabriel Scott on August 26, 1989 at the First Baptist Church on 10th Street in Canon City.  She was a loving mother and wife who loved her family and animals. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, genealogy and making cards for birthdays and special occasions. Brenda loved class reunions, family gatherings and game nights.  

Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Carmen Bracco, mother Ina Nell Bracco, her sister Linda Aldridge, sister Cheryl Wilderson (Aldridge, Copper) sister Teena Holcomb (Bracco).  She is survived by her husband Foster G. Scott, daughter Kayla L. Scott, son Gabriel W. Scott (Jason Midkiff) and son Elijah J. Scott; nieces Robin Bateman (Copper), Jessica Wood (Copper), nephews Paul Copper and Jeffrey Holcomb as well as her large extended family.  

Services are set for Friday, August 30, 2024 at The Steeple Event Center, 701 Macon Ave., Canon City, CO   Visitation at 11:00am with funeral service at 11:30am.

Reception to follow after the graveside service back at The Steeple Event Center.
