Carolyn R. Gillis

Carolyn R. Gillis passed away July 4, 2024, in Pueblo, CO.  She was born June 15, 1941 in Durango, Colorado.  Carolyn is survived by her children, Deborah Wills, Karen Bell, Diane Eaton, Robert Gillis, and Adam Gillis, her grandchildren Karee (James) Watzka, Kaley Eaton, Gary Eaton, 12 great-grandchildren, brothers Leo (Mary) Martinez of Murray, Utah, Lloyd (Kory) Martinez of Ohio, Matthew Martinez of Ignacio, Colorado, and sisters Marie Gillis, Mary Martinez and Robin (Rick) Danforth of Canon City.  Carolyn was a school bus driver for 15 years.  She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband James Gillis and her mother and father Charles and Betty Martinez.  Services will be held 10:00 A.M., on July 20, 2024 at Saint Michael's Catholic Church.  She will be laid to rest at Mount Vale Cemetery in Canon City, Colorado.
