Chad Vern Jones

Chad Jones was born on October 18, 1984 in Idaho Falls Idaho to KC Jones and Kathy Hayward Walker. He was the youngest of six children. He lived in Grant, Idaho until he was 5 years old when the family moved to Logan, Utah. He attended grade school and middle school in Hyde Park Utah and moved back to Idaho Falls where he attended Skyline High School. He later briefly attended Idaho State University.

Chad traveled around a lot finding odd jobs and working with friends. He loved being outdoors and being with his friends. He loved spending as much time as he could at the cabin in Island Park fishing and swimming in the Buffalo River. He was living in Canon City Colorado at the time of his death working as an independent mechanic and attending school in Colorado Springs to get his IT certification. He was a happy person with a special soul and was loved by everyone he met.

Chad married his love Kristi Burgess in 2007 and they were later divorced.

He was taken from us on August 1, 2024 doing what he loved, riding his motorcycle. Chad is survived by his mother Kathy Walker and her husband Rod Walker, of Pocatello and KC Jones and his wife Linda, of Logan Utah.  4 brothers Troy Jones, Idaho Falls, Ken Jones (Angela), Beaver Dam, Ut, sister Jana Goodrich (Ryan) of Tridell, Ut, brother Heath Jones (Aubry), Logan, Ut and Jeff Jones (Michelle) of Idaho Falls, brother Mike Hope (Sarah) of Canon City, Colorado.

He had 15 nieces and nephews and many close friends he called family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Veda Driscoll (Justin) and Lloyd Hayward, Grandparents Kenneth and Lois Jones of Rigby who greeted him with open arms.

A celebration of his life will be held on August 31, 2024 in Idaho Falls and a private service will be held for his family in Island Park at a later date.
