Charles "Chuck" Causey Obituary

Charles R “Chuck” Causey was born April 23, 1938 in Lamar, Arkansas to HK and Lula Causey. He graduated high school in the Bernie, MO area. He joined the Air Force in 1958. Stationed at ENT Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, he met the love of his life and wife of 63 years, Patricia Moschetti of Florence, CO. They were married on October 4, 1958. He is survived by sisters, Jean Rogers, Betty Mosley, in-laws: Paul and Vonnie Moschetti and Joan and Fred Smith. Father to: Tami (Steven) Miller of Pueblo West, CO; Jeff Causey of Security, CO; Sheri DiRito (Todd Pierret) of Garretson, SD; grandfather to: Kevin (Brittany) Miller, Kelcey (Robert) Sasser, Kody (Amber) Miller, Olin Causey, Paul Causey, Michael (Shya) DiRito, Travis (Aspen) DiRito, Nicolas Pierret, (Mikayla) Great grandfather to: Katelyn, Cole, Steven, Ronni, Vonn, Lane, Mia, and Paisley. Beloved uncle to numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Preceded in death by his daughter, Charlene Pennington; parents, HK and Lula Causey; Paul Moschetti, Frances and Joe Lucerna, 2 brothers, 3 sisters in laws, 2 brothers in law and 2 great grandsons.

After serving in Korea, he returned to his wife and daughter in Wilkins, NV before relocating to Colorado Springs, CO. He worked for Riviera Wood Products for 17 years. In 1973, they moved to Penrose, CO.

In 1984, they opened Kitchens Design in Pueblo West, CO.

After retiring in 2003, they traveled all over the US and Canada boondocking in their 5th Wheel.

Chuck was always tinkering and building in his shop.

Camping was their favorite activity; going every weekend when the kids were young. Riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, snow and water skiing and numerous other outdoor activities.

Chuck was an amazing father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend. Adopted by many because he treated them like they were his own. He was gentle and quiet and never met anyone he didn’t like.

Memorial Service will be 10:00AM, Saturday, October 2, 2021 at St. Benedicts Catholic Church 622 W. 2nd Street, Florence, CO 81226.  Arrangements entrusted to Harwood Funeral Home. Online condolences at harwoodfunerals.com.
