Dalton Buckholtz Obituary

Dalton Lee Buckholz, 28, of Canon City unexpectedly passed away on May 1, 2021. Dalton was born on August 10, 1992 in Pueblo, CO to Kim Ferguson and Troy Buckholz. Where he spent most of his childhood years until moving to Canon City. At a young age Dalton peaked an interest in art, he would be sitting in the car watching the train go by in Pueblo and he saw so much beauty in the graffiti on the sides of the train. As Dalton became an adult he expressed his love for art through his tattoos, on himself as well as on others. He was a jack of all trades but art was his passion. He had goals to open a tattoo shop someday. Prior to the pandemic he worked as a prep cook at Chili's here in Canon. Since the pandemic Dalton had been spending his time taking care of his daughter, Elliana Rae. He enjoyed just being in the outdoors around those he loved most. No matter how long he'd known you or how well, a friend was a friend. Dalton was one of those people that always saw the light in the darkness and would always spread his light on those around him. He would give you the shirt off his back. Dalton is survived by his beautiful daughter Elliana and girlfriend, Miranda Hines, his parents Kimberly (Terry) Ferguson, Troy (Michelle) Buckholz, brothers, Garrett Buckholz, Teddy Vaught and Terrance Ferguson, sisters, Briana Buckholz, Teralynn Franco, Amy Andrews and Toni Quintana, grandparents, Susan Milner and Larry Buckholz, great grandparents, Alfred (Rita) Fawkes and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by grandparents Thomas Milner and Charlotte Polson. Celebration of Life will be held at Mineral Palace Park in Pueblo, CO on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 12:00 PM with a candlelight outside the Quality Inn at dusk.
