David Bellino Obituary

David Anthony Bellino of Florence, Colorado, passed away on May 5, 2024, at his family cabin in Westcliffe, at the age of 54. He was surrounded by his family who adored him.  He will be missed every minute of every hour of every day forever.

He was the beloved father of Dillon (Brooklyn) Bellino and Tanner (Brittany) Bellino and grandfather to Beck.

He was preceded in death by his father Dominic Bellino, Jr. in 2004. He is survived by his mother, Cheryl (Richard) Ross, his sister Michelle (Jon) Neal, his brother Nick (Deanna) Bellino, nieces Bethany (Chris) Shipps and Ashley (Garrett) Wilson, nephew Dominic and great nephews, Kasen, Kysen and Maverick Wilson.

David was born October 26, 1969 in Florence and graduated from Florence High School in 1988. He excelled in wrestling and motorcycle riding. He was a mechanic, talented welder, and truck driver at CTC Trucking and retired as the facilities manager at Geocycle in 2021.

Along with spending time with his family and a multitude of dear friends, he loved being out on the water in his boat fishing. When he wasn’t fishing, he busied himself creating all kinds of metal, wooden and mechanical projects ranging from custom motorized vehicles to furniture to decorative artwork.

David bravely volunteered in a clinical trial researching new ways to treat cancer. His participation will help doctors and nurses better treat cancer patients in the future. In lieu of flowers, donations towards cancer research can be made to the Cancer Center at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus at www.giving.cu.edu in David’s name.

A celebration of David’s life will be held Saturday May 18 at 4pm, on his property at 1398 Kelsey Ct, Florence, CO.
