Obituary
David Michael Rowell, 63, passed away January 2, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving wife. He was born October 14, 1959 to Robert and Lela (Gray) Hubbard in Mississippi.
David served his country with honor and passion in the United States Army from 1984 to 1993 having been stationed in El Paso, TX and Germany. He worked and trained others to use the Patriot Missile. He also was a recruiter and worked in hospital administration with the Army.
He married the Kye Son, the love of his life 1991 and were married for 31 years. He and Kye moved to Canon City to be close to his parents. He spent his career working for the USP in Florence retiring after 18 years.
When he wasn’t working, he loved to spend time with his wife hunting, camping, boating and just spending time in nature. He especially loved riding bikes in the Rhein River of Germany.
Above all, David was a true patriot that loved his God, wife, family and country.
He is survived by his wife Kye, son, Scott Rowell; granddaughter, Jordan Rowell, mother, Leila (Robert) Frances; father Robert Hubbard; brother, Steven (Sarah) Rowell and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister Lorisa.
