Delbert Woodrow Lacey, a cherished patriarch and decorated World War II veteran, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2024, in Pueblo, Colorado. Born on July 14, 1926, in Ohio, Delbert's life was a testament to resilience and dedication.
His early years in Ohio laid the foundation for a life of service and hard work. After bravely serving his country, he returned to a fulfilling career as a skilled welder, where he left a lasting impact on his colleagues and the industry.
Delbert's legacy is lovingly remembered by his children, Diana L. Arnold, David W. Lacey, and Teresa D. Cordova, who continue to honor his memory. He was preceded in death by his son, D. Leon Lacey, and his first wife, Laura Mae Lacey, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage, and his second wife, Betty J. Lacey. Delbert's indomitable spirit and loving heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Celebration of life will be Tuesday April 2, 2024, 10 A.M. at First Baptist Church,107 N. 7th Street, in Canon City, Colorado. Graveside service will be Wednesday April 3, 2024, 11 A.M. at Union Highland Cemetery in Florence, Colorado.
