Donald Garner

Donald Garner age 55 passed away April 20, 2023 at his home in Canon City surrounded by his family. Don was born June 6th, 1967 in Florence, CO to Frank Garner and Linda Deatherage. He graduated from Canon City High School in 1985 and enlisted in the United States Army where he completed his full service and was honorably discharged. After his discharge he made his way to South Carolina and then back to Colorado. Don married his wife Lori  March 20th, 2004. Don worked in construction the entirety on his life, in his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and just being outdoors where he felt free. Don also loved spending time with his grandbabies (Audrey and Luna). Don is remembered by his wife Lori Garner, their daughters June Parrett and Samantha Hix (Austin Hix, Daughters Audrey and Luna) and his daughter Katrina. His sons Matthew and Nick Garner. His brothers Mike, Billy, Kurt and Nathan Deatherage and Frankie Garner (Lynn Garner) and his sister Yvonne Green (David Green). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and friends and family and his beloved fur babies and grandfurkids.

His memorial will be on April 28th, 2023 at the Steeple event center in Canon City, CO (701 Macon ave) at 1pm. We are asking for everybody to bring a food dish for the potluck to  share after the service. If you have any photos or videos of Don we would love to receive them. Feel free to post them below.
