Donna McLoughlin Obituary

Donna McLoughlin, beloved wife, mother and “Grammy”, died Saturday, May 27th, 2023.  She is survived by her husband Mike McLoughlin, her sons and their wives Shawn and Denise, Darren and Shelly, Brendon and Lara and her grandchildren Andrew, Emily, Brittany, Megan, Isabel and Ashlyn.

Donna was born in Rush Springs, Oklahoma on December 25th 1940.  After high school, she went to Central State College where she met Charlie Morris.  They married in 1960, settling in Poteau, Oklahoma.  In 1963 they moved to Security, Colorado where they began raising a family.

Donna was an amazing seamstress who could make her own clothes and a baker of cookies, cakes and legendary pies.   She also spent several years working in Widefield School District 3 in Food Service and Payroll Administration.  Later in life Donna was blessed to meet Mike McLoughlin.  They would have been married for 2 years on July 30, 2023.

Donna loved many things including classical literature, classical music and travel.  Yet what she loved most was being with her family - her husband, her sons, her daughters-in-law and her grandchildren.  That love will be sorely missed by all.

A Memorial Service for Donna will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 9th 2023 at The Steeple Event Center - 701 Macon Ave, Canon City, Colorado.
