Elizabeth "Beth" Swanson

Beth Swanson, aged 76 of Alma, CO passed away on Wednesday, September 18th, 2024 surrounded by her family. Beth lived a life full of love and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
After graduating from nursing school
Beth took a job in Park County, where she met and fell in love with Erik Swanson. They were married in 1976, and took up residence in Alma, restoring the century old family home in which they then raised their own children.
Beth worked as the Park County Public Health Nurse where she met and cared for many locals through the years. She also worked as the school nurse, volunteered for the Salvation Army, fostered a handful of children, and helped establish the Ed Snell Memorial Fund. She was a devout and faithful member of St. Augustine's Orthodox Church in Denver.
Beth loved to travel especially with her family. After retiring from health care, Beth and Erik opened Rimfrost Antique Store on Front Street in Fairplay.
Beth will be remembered for her immense kindness and the love she had for her community, her friends, and her family. She will be missed dearly.

A funeral service will take place Saturday September 28, 2024 at The Stone Church 184 N. Main St. in Alma, Colorado at 2 P.M. A burial will take place at Buckskin Cemetery with a pot luck to follow at the town hall around 4 P.M.
