Ellen M. (Kjormoe) Rasmusen

Ellen M. (Kjormoe) Rasmusen passed away June 26, 2025. She was born November 23, 1930, to Hazel (Wood) Kjormoe and Melvin Kjormoe. She got her education in Wyoming and graduated in 1949. On June 21, 1959, she married Robert W. Rasmusen in Torrington, Wyoming. They worked and raised their daughter in Northglenn, Colorado and then moved to Norton, Kansas, where she and her husband were owner/operators in the motel business until retirement. She and Robert returned to Colorado where they resided since 1995, enjoying many years of traveling in R.V. and trips abroad.

She and Robert were married for 50 years until his death in 2009.

Ellen has been involved in volunteering at McKinley Elementary since 1996. She has been active in the Presbyterian Church and the First United Methodist in Canon City.

She is survived by sister Mildred L. Moody of NE, brother Melvin L. Kjormoe of CO; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter Joanne Y. Rasmusen. Her sisters: Joanne A. Kjormoe and Mary Beth Rankin.

At Ellen’s request, no services will be held. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Torrington, Wyoming.
