James Paul Corley

James Paul Corley, aged 61, died August 5th, 2025 at Point Barr Campgrounds amongst some of his loved ones, after a long day of one of his favorite pastimes: fishing. Born July 26th, 1964 in New Orleans, Louisiana to late father Henry Paul Corley and mother Wanda Faye Corley. He precedes his loving wife of 33 years Ellen Renee Corley and children Elizabeth Ann Martinez  (husband Orion) and Sean Paul Corley (wife Aurora), as well as his two sisters Connie Sue Harrison (husband Jim) and Colleen Renee Schoellkopf (husband David). An informal remembrance ceremony will be held on August 16th, 2025 at James and Renee's residence, their dream home with the view of the mountains they both loved very much. In lieu of flowers we encourage those who knew James, wherever they met in life, to make donations to one of the following organizations: Colorado Parks and Wildlife, to help protect the beauty and safety of nature that James loved, or the Wellness, Sleep & Circadian Network (WSCN), a group "dedicated to reducing injury, disability, and death from sleep apnea". His cremation will be handled by Harwood Funeral Home in Cañon City, Colorado. James was a loving husband, father, and uncle, and he will be deeply missed by all his loved ones.
