John Hernandez Jr.

John Hernandez Jr., 88, passed away peacefully May 30, 2024 at his home in Canon City, Colorado.

John was born in Proctor, CO. He was married to the love of his life, the late Donna Hernandez. Their 58-year marriage was formed in love and bound together by their devotion to each other. He was blessed with six children, seventeen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. John's greatest joy came from spending his life with Donna, caring for his children, Robin, Todd, Kelly, Chris, Tracy and Scott and being Papa to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his love and caring for his family, John will be remembered for 36 years of service in the Colorado Department of Revenue, Port of Entry Division, his love of fast cars and his passion for carving.

A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, June 11 at 10 am at St.
Michaels Catholic Church, 10th and College, Canon City, CO, with burial to follow at Lakeside Cemetery. Following, we will meet back at St. Michaels for food and fellowship.
