Joni Lee Ensminger

Joni Lee (Pratt) Ensminger, 46 of Colorado Springs and of Canon City, died August 2, 2024, in Colorado Springs, CO She was born April 29 1978, in South Hampton N.Y. to Richard J Pratt and Mauriann Jones. Joni lived in Canon City Area for about 10 years and graduated from Canon City High School in 1996. She continued her education at Pueblo Community College and Christian University to earn Bachelor's Degree in early childhood education. She worked at Headstart and public schools for many years. Joni loved working with kids, bowling, travel, concerts, family and friends made at church, work, and school. She loved God and followed her faith in Jesus by the way she lived. She met the love of her life Jayson Ensminger and they married June 2, 2007, in Colorado Springs.

Mrs. Ensminger is survived by her husband: Jayson Ensminger; father: Richard J Pratt; mother: Mauriann (Glen) Jones; stepbrothers: Michael (Holly) Jones; Dylan (Eve) Jones; stepsister: Deana (Wade) Walker; mother-in-law: Judy Ensminger; sister-in-laws: Jayci Howerton and Jaymi Smith; Uncles: Garth Viele, Robert (Mary) Pratt; Paul Pratt and numerous other extended family members and friends. Joni was preceded in death by her brother Robert (Bobby) Pratt; grandfathers: Robert F Pratt, Garth E Viele and Robert N James; grandmothers: Patricia Viele, Phillis Pratt and Vina A James; uncle: John James. Joni will be remembered for her positive attitude and how she confronted her health issues with her beautiful smile and endless love for life and living it to the fullest. She will be so missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing her! Our sadness is currently massive, but our butterfly is now free and home with Jesus. We shall honor her with a smile whenever we think of her.  Celebration of Life will be 1:00 P.M. on August 17, 2024, at the Steeple Event Center, 701 Macon Ave, Canon City, CO 81212 to be followed by a reception after the service.
