LeRoy was born in Elgin North Dakota to Fred and Christina Kramer. During his
High School years in Elgin, he worked at Standard Oil, pumping fuel and servicing
vehicles. From there he lived with his brother Milbert in Lemon, South Dakota. He
worked with his brother pulling high voltage power lines. Following that, he and
Milbert moved to Lafayette Colorado in1961. He worked in Boulder Colorado as
an assembler at Automation Industries. Then as a mechanic for the Hollister
Motor Company and then moving onto Rush Motors.
In 1964 he married Sandy Baxter. LeRoy and Sandy had two children, Kent and
Bradley. In 1970, LeRoy was hired as a Firefighter by the City of Boulder,
advancing to the rank of Engineer where he worked for 26 years before retiring.
During his retirement years he and Sandy traveled by RV to many places and
renewed his love of Street Rods.
They moved to Canon City in 2006, where they became involved with many of
Canon City's Street Rod events. He shared his knowledge of old cars with many
new friends and acquaintances.
LeRoy is survived by his wife Sandy, son Kent and his wife Anna, Bradly and his
wife Sandra Sheppelman. Two grandchildren, McKenna and Kelley of North
Carolina. He has many nieces and nephews who live in Northern Colorado.
