Linda Sue Bracco, age 76, passed away peacefully at her home in Rockvale, Colorado on May 9, 2026. She was born on July 8, 1949, in Concrete, Colorado.
Known lovingly by many as "Memaw," Linda was a woman with a big heart, a strong spirit, and a deep love for her family. She found joy in life's simple pleasures and created countless memories with those she loved most. Whether it was spending a day in Cripple Creek, enjoying meals from Red Lobster or Juicy Seafood, or stopping at her favorite hamburger spot, The Owl, Linda cherished every moment shared with family and friends. One of her most treasured traditions was having breakfast at the Kopper Kettle with her great-grandson Braxton.
Linda was also a loyal Elkete member of the Elks Club for 11 years and absolutely loved going to bingo, one of her favorite pastimes. She loved shopping trips to Goodwill, The Arc, New Horizons, and Kohl's, and relaxing with jigsaw puzzles, word searches, and her favorite game shows. Christmas was especially dear to her heart. She adored the lights, the singing, snowmen, holiday movies, and the warmth that came with having family together during the season.
Above all else, Linda was family-oriented. Through every hardship and every joy, she stood beside the people she loved with unwavering support, strength, and care. Her love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Linda is survived by her significant other, Joseph Tamburello; her brother, Richard Bracco; her sister, Mary; her daughter, Lorena Colgin; her grandchildren, Jacob Ireland, Lindey Stringer, and Jase Cox; and her great-grandchildren, Braxton, Gregory, Coraline, and Amiyah.
She was welcomed into Heaven by her beloved son, Gregory, who surely greeted her with open arms.
Linda will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her warmth, her resilience, her laughter, and the love she gave so freely to her family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday May 21, 2026 10:00 A.M. at St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Florence, Colorado. Inurnment will follow at Union Highland Cemetery.
